Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Mold Tooling Supervisor for Plant 2 in Pineville, NC. You will supervise Mold Technicians and Mold Makers, ensuring molds are maintained to specifications while optimizing safety and efficiency.

You will lead tooling operations including grinding, EDM, milling and other processes, and coordinate with Quality Control and Maintenance to resolve issues and improve tooling performance.

Qualifications

• Certified Mold or Tool & Die Maker required.
• 5–10 years in a plastic manufacturing environment and 5 years in Mold Making/Tool & Die.
• ISO 9001 experience and manufacturing process familiarity is an asset.
• Experience using all shop equipment; coaching or supervisory experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Mold Technicians and Mold Makers to meet daily planned event schedules.
• Lead in operating and maintaining mold tooling: grinding, EDM, milling, drilling, engraving, turning.
• Prepare work orders in MES and update mold status in Hydra; track hours and costs.
• Support mold repairs during process setup and ensure molds are properly maintained.
• Attend daily meetings and coordinate with Quality Control and Maintenance teams.
• Participate in hiring and training of new staff.
