Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is hiring a Lead Modem Engineer to define and implement digital SOCs for communications with LEO satellites and Amazon gateways. You will work on wireless modem architectures, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions in modern CMOS tech.

The role requires 7+ years in digital design, experience converting DSP algorithms to RTL, and collaboration with system engineers, verification, and space-ready requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of digital logic design experience, preferably in DSP or communications.
• Experience designing DSP algorithms and RTL implementations.

Responsibilities

• Implement wireless system architecture from spec to RTL and chip validation.
• Develop throughput, latency, and availability optimizations within power/cost constraints.
• Drive first-time-right silicon with power targets.
• Create standalone verification test benches to verify blocks.
• Collaborate on SystemVerilog test benches with UVM and DPI-C.
• Ensure block meets DFT, timing and power targets with the implementation team.
• Learn requirements for space operating environments and trade-off analyses.
• Engage with architects to drive hardware micro-architecture.
