Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Mobile Maintenance Technician based in the Carlsbad, NM area. You will lead technicians in installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, and design solutions for challenging problems while coordinating with the Operations Maintenance team.

Responsibilities include leading safety procedures, maintaining conveyors, and mentoring contract technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in packaging/distribution facilities is preferred.
• Ability to read ladder diagrams and troubleshoot control wiring.

Job Description

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team in by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

About the Role

As a Lead Maintenance Technician you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team in by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Promote and lead a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used
• Provide feedback on work order discrepancies.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Operations facility
• Act as liaison between the maintenance team, Maintenance Manager, Planners, Vendors, and Client.
• Develop training plans for service technicians
• Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets
• Allocate job plans leveraging experience and judgments to achieve department goals.
• Provide mentoring to team members, maintaining high standards.
• Ensure compliance with company and client regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Achieve performance expectations set forth in performance appraisals.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $31.45 - $37.00
