Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking a Front-End Development Manager to lead a mobile-focused team building customer experiences across iOS and Android. You’ll coach developers, set clear priorities, and align work with product goals to deliver high-quality features at speed.

You’ll guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Accessibility to drive scalable, accessible solutions for one of the industry’s leading ecommerce platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience, including significant experience building and delivering mobile applications.
• Experience building mobile applications with React Native and TypeScript, or leading teams that do.
• 3+ years of experience leading and growing developers through coaching, feedback, performance management, and career growth.
• Experience leading project delivery and coordinating work across cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance, testing, maintainability, and user experience.
• Experience partnering closely with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of developers through feedback, mentorship, hiring, and career development.
• Build a collaborative, accountable team culture with clear priorities, ownership, and expectations.
• Guide the delivery of new features, technical improvements, and platform initiatives while removing obstacles and managing risks.
• Provide technical leadership by helping the team navigate tradeoffs and maintain high standards for quality, accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
• Improve engineering practices, team processes, and ways of working.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Communicate priorities, progress, and risks while connecting engineering work to customer and business goals.
• Contribute to technical strategy and continuous improvement across the front-end organization.
