Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Mobile Engineer for iOS on Enterprise Platforms Technology. You’ll develop iOS client code solutions that deliver on product strategy and uphold engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.

You will partner with engineers, UX/UI, QA, and product owners to deliver high‑performing experiences while actively participating in agile ceremonies and mentoring junior engineers. Continuous learning of Swift and related tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building iOS applications.
• At least 3 years of experience with Swift.

Responsibilities

• Partner with software engineers, UX/UI, QA, product owners/analysts to deliver high‑performing, quality customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and simple.
• Actively participate in all team agile ceremonies, ensuring commitments are met on time and with high quality.
• Advocate for the mobile platform within internal and external developer communities.
• Maintain continuous learning of mobile technologies (Swift, Kotlin, third‑party libraries, etc.).
• Mentor junior to mid‑level team members.
• Engage with developers outside the local sprint team across disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.).
• Own and lead delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and architects.
• Share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams.
• Identify technical obstacles early and work closely with the team to find creative solutions.
• Review pull requests to ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms.

• Master’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience building iOS applications.
• 4+ years of experience with Swift.
• 4+ years of experience in open‑source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile practices.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity.
