Job summary

PointClickCare is seeking a Principal AI Machine Learning Platform Engineer to set the technical vision for the ML platform that powers ML and generative AI development across the company. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align this direction with product and business goals and define reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps for pipelines, tooling, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Expert level Python and Java with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Deep experience designing and building ML platforms and ML Ops workflows at scale (MLFlow, Kubeflow, Ray or equivalents).
• Extensive cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Track record of setting technical direction across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate objectives into a multi-quarter ML platform strategy and roadmap.
• Define reference architectures and standards for scalable data and ML pipelines (training, evaluation, deployment, serving).
• Lead MLOps practices across the company including CI/CD for models, model registry, feature stores, and experiment tracking.
• Drive reliability, observability, and performance of ML systems in production, with monitoring and automated remediation.
• Lead security architecture for the ML platform, including RBAC, audit logging, and compliance monitoring.
• Define secure, cost-efficient integration patterns for connecting the platform with existing systems and data sources.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams, guiding senior engineers.
