Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer in Plano, TX to join the Dealer Tech division within Financial Services Technology. You will productionize ML applications, design architectures, and ensure scalable, secure, and compliant ML systems supporting auto financing platforms.

You’ll collaborate with product and data science teams in an Agile environment, build ML models, optimize data pipelines, and deploy code with CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 6+ years in data-intensive, distributed computing.
• At least 4 years Python/Scala/Java experience; 2+ years ML systems.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Spark, or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions: data, models, features, training, and validation.
• Write, test, and deploy code; train, monitor, and retrain models in production.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team to enable big data and ML apps.
• Leverage cloud architectures to deploy optimized ML models at scale.
