Job summary

Holobeam Technologies in Bethpage, Long Island, NY is seeking a Lead ML Engineer – Medical Imaging to lead a small ML research team developing novel imaging technologies and move research toward clinical and regulatory-ready products.

You will be hands-on in 2D/3D medical imaging, reconstruction, image analysis, and generative imaging, working with CT/X-ray/DICOM datasets, and mentoring engineers to build robust training, validation and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of applied ML/computer-vision experience.
• Advanced Python and PyTorch skills.
• Hands-on experience developing and training deep-learning models.
• Experience with medical imaging or related imaging.
• Experience with CT, X-ray, CBCT, MRI, PET/SPECT, ultrasound, or volumetric imaging.
• Ability to lead or mentor ML engineers/researchers.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML research and mentor a small team while coding, training and experimenting.
• Develop and evaluate methods for 2D/3D medical imaging, reconstruction and analysis.
• Work with X-ray, CT, DICOM datasets and volumetric data.
• Translate research into working implementations and controlled experiments.
• Design validation methods to separate clinically supported info from plausible output.
• Address data quality, domain shift, uncertainty and model failures.
• Build reproducible preprocessing, training, inference and evaluation pipelines.
• Help move research toward production, clinical validation and regulatory submission.
