Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer – Middleware Integration for a hybrid role across Charlotte, NC and multiple locations. You will lead middleware upgrades, analyze requirements, and design scalable solutions within an enterprise middleware environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automation, monitor systems with Grafana/Splunk, and ensure high availability for mission-critical platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Integration Middleware (IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker/ACE/IIB, Kafka, Solace).
• IBM MQ Administration including build, installation, configuration, patching, compliance, and troubleshooting.
• Experienced with delivering enterprise-scale middleware and messaging solutions.
• Strong IBM MQ expertise, systems administration, automation, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise-level, highly available environments.
• Experience with MQ monitoring tools (e.g., IR360).

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement complex infrastructure and middleware upgrades.
• Analyze business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document solutions using Agile practices.
• Lead and contribute to high-level technical initiatives spanning technology and business.
• Design, develop, test, and document complex infrastructure systems and solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational policies, and procedures.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk) to support teams.
• Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and achieve objectives.
• Handle outage calls, triage issues efficiently, and drive resolution.
