GE Aerospace’s Military Materials Systems (MMS) organization seeks a Lead Metallic Materials Application Engineer to guide M&P definition, qualification, and lifecycle support for engine hardware. You will partner with design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to meet program requirements and ensure safe, compliant hardware.

The role requires a Materials Engineering degree (or equivalent experience), 3+ years engineering background, and eligibility for U.S.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 7 years of engineering experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance

Aufgaben

• Interpret design requirements and provide M&P guidance to design/manufacturing teams
• Define M&P for hardware; review and approve drawings and changes
• Set qualification requirements and disposition initial part qualifications and changes
• Dispozition manufacturing nonconformances and support supplier process reviews
• Lead root cause investigations of M&P-related problems and drive corrective actions
• Identify M&P technology gaps and update M&P strategies
• Apply lessons learned from field, manufacturing changes, and development programs
• Communicate hardware M&P status to team and leadership
• Author technical reports on M&P decisions
