Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) and Gulf Coast Treatment Center are seeking a full-time Lead Mental Health Technician for 1st shift (7am-3pm) in Fort Walton Beach.

The MHT supports the treatment team, ensures a safe, therapeutic environment, and models professional behavior for adolescent patients aged 12–18. The role requires at least a high school diploma, 21+ age, prior mental health experience, and the ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous working experience in mental health.
• Must be able to pass AHCA level 2 background screen and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• The MHT functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Role models professional behavior for adolescent girls ranging ages 12 through 18.
• Provides supervision in a treatment or educational milieu and assists in maintaining a safe, secure environment.
