Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to coordinate daily lab operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality diagnostic testing across all age groups. You will maintain equipment competencies, manage schedules, and collaborate with the section manager to uphold accreditation standards.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a daytime shift with limited on-call, weekend, and holiday considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or chemical, physical, or biological science.
• Graduate of an NAACLS approved laboratory training program; may qualify under ACSP Board of Certification route 2/3/4.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day operation of the assigned department with the manager.
• Maintains competency on equipment and ensures staff competency.
• Prepares daily work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Ensures QC, QA, PT, and calibrations are performed on schedule and documented.
