Responsibilities- Greets patients in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
- Checks in patients, verifies and updates information in EPICsystem.
- Receives payments from patients, issues receipts, reconciles daily cash and charge terminal.
- Answers multipletele phone lines, screens calls, takes messages, and accurately directs calls to appropriate recipient.
- Provides overall direction, training and support for other receptionists.
- Attends to patients in waiting area and ensures they are seen in a timely manner or are promptly notified of unexpected delays.
- Workswithsupervisortodevelopandadheretopoliciesandprocedures.
- Makes appointments and answers inquiries.
- Serves as a team leader, fostering teamwork and emphasizing customer service to assure quality patient care.
- Reports potential reception problems to supervisor and suggests solutions.
- Checks patients out, performs chargeentry procedures and collects payment if applicable. Rotates too their locations as necessary to perform reception duties.
- Attends meetings as required, distributes communication in an efficient andtimely manner.
- Performs other projects and duties as related to department objectives.
- Supervises work performed by department and may delegate work to staff members. Counsels and coaches the team by guiding, directing, motivating, and mediating conflict resolution.
- Assists with staff development, new employee orientation, and training. Monitors and ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maybe responsible for performance evaluations as required by HumanResources.
- Responsible for managing the schedule, timekeeping, and payroll if necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Receptionist experience required.
- Experienced in staff role and history of good performance
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.35-$22.70/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
