Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to screen patients, collect information, and train new staff on the patient visit process. You will assist clinicians during visits and help triage calls to ensure timely care.

Responsibilities include documenting encounters, maintaining exam rooms, assisting with labs, and providing reception/clerical support. BLS and CMA/RMA are required; a high school diploma and accredited MA training or equivalent experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus accredited Medical Assistant Training program or equivalent experience.
• Experience preferred: 1 year in clinical/physician-office, ER, or hospital with patient care.
• BLS certification/training required at orientation and maintained during employment.
• CMA or RMA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and gather pertinent information.
• Train new staff and coach existing staff on patient visit processes.
• Assist physician or advanced practitioner during patient visits and triage calls.
• Document encounters, labs, and other paperwork with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and work environment.
• Assist with laboratory procedures and monitor safety.
• Provide reception/clerical support as needed.
