Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Medical Assistant leader to guide clinical operations and front-line patient care in a large multi-physician setting. You will supervise Medical Assistants I and II, manage patient flow, and ensure smooth office functioning.

The role involves direct patient care, exam room preparation, charting, and coordination with physicians and staff. A high school diploma and nationally recognized MA credentials with BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Medical Assistant credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients in clinic settings, including vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication verification.
• Prepare for office hours by charting, scheduling tests, and room preparation.
• Assist with examinations, procedures and lab tests.
• Administer vaccines and medications under physician order.
• Direct patient flow and train new Medical Assistants.
