Job summary

Prism Health North Texas is hiring a Lead Medical Assistant to provide high-quality, compassionate care and to serve as a clinic-based leader and preceptor across our diverse patient population.

The Lead MA will support providers, Medical Assistants, and clinic staff, coordinate workflow, monitor inventory, and ensure accurate documentation, infection control, and safe patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification is required.
• Certification of Hepatitis B vaccination series is required; can be provided upon hire if not already completed.
• 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead MA supports providers, Medical Assistants, Clinic Nurses, and Clinic Managers to promote efficient patient flow and documentation.
• Preceptor for new Medical Assistants and provide remedial education as needed.
• Back-up to Clinic Manager during absences and support clinic operations across sites.
