Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee daily clinic operations and support high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes strong clinical leadership, staff mentorship, and collaboration with management to optimize scheduling and processes.

You will lead a team of medical assistants, mentor staff, coordinate scheduling and training, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and EMR use.

• Ability to motivate, direct and retain Medical Assistants; strong communication with patients and staff.
• Promote high-quality, compassionate patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Successfully performs the responsibilities of a Senior Medical Assistant.
• Leads the day to day work and productivity of patient care staff.
• Advise and assist staff on problem solving patient/customer concerns; as well as address issues associated with clinic operations.
• Performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol.
• Serves as clinical preceptor to enhance training and improve any skill deficiency amongst staff.
• Aids management in scheduling, daily work assignments, hiring, training, employee engagement, performance management, identifying areas for service or operational improvement, and reinforcing established expectations from management, and scheduling.
