Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office and patient management software.
• Phlebotomy or laboratory work experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a provider.
• Administrative duties: scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records.
• Clinical duties: preparing a treatment room, recording patient history, cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs in the patient chart.
• Interview patients to obtain medical histories and record data.
• Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results.
• Demonstrate strong detail orientation and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication.
• Potentially work overtime to meet deadlines.

Compensation: $17.00 - $25.00 / hour

About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant to assist our medical providers. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical clinic. The position supports both providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. This role will report to our Regional Clinic Manager and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Do

• Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a provider
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records
• Clinical duties may include, such as preparing a treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart
• Interviews patients to obtain their medical history
• Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
• May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant in a fast paced clinical environment
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Front office experience in a fast paced clinical environment
• Display knowledge of medical terminology
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Maintain a high level of professionalismProficient in MS Office and patient management software
• Previous experience in phlebotomy or laboratory work preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
