Job summary

Uponor in Minnesota is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer to lead technical and strategic product initiatives, identifying what to build and how to build it.

The role is hybrid with periodic onsite work at our Apple Valley headquarters; requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years’ experience, and strong SolidWorks and high-volume machining expertise to drive CAD development, prototyping, DFM, testing, and ROI modeling.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively lead development efforts.
• SolidWorks and High-Volume machining experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Engineering: detailed CAD development using SolidWorks and DFM.
• Prototyping: build, assemble, and iterate functional prototypes.
• Validation & Development: conduct FEA, design reviews, and verification testing.
• Innovation: generate concepts, develop business cases including ROI modeling.
• Product Care: evaluate deviations, manage supply-chain changes, and implement ECOs.
