Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Cayce, SC is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to supervise daily activities in our maintenance group. You will lead safety, quality, and cost meetings, and assign technicians to tasks that match their skills and training needs.

The role requires at least 5 years of maintenance experience, familiarity with preventive maintenance processes, and the ability to read electrical/hydraulic/mechanical schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures and ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred
• Experience working with and maintaining welding machines, hydraulic equipment, mechanical equipment, pneumatic equipment and cooling systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics
• Working knowledge of computers and computer software
• CMRP certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Hold safety, quality, customer feedback and financial information meetings with maintenance team
• Review safety requirements and identify potential hazards
• Assign technicians to jobs appropriate to their skills and training needs
• Review planned job packages for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure technicians understand job details (what, where, how, why, when)
• Make tactical decisions to stay close to schedule
• Accurately distribute time and materials to jobs and provide feedback
• Initiate corrective work orders from inspections or other sources
