Job summary

Fortna is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering execution of complex material handling and conveyor projects from design through installation. You will mentor project engineers, support customers and field teams, and drive engineering excellence on schedule and within budget.

You will review scopes and drawings, manage change orders, and coordinate with project management, electrical engineering, purchasing and fabrication across domestic sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6–10 years of material handling or conveyor systems engineering experience.
• Experience leading medium to large engineering projects and coordinating cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering execution for material handling and conveyor projects.
• Review scopes, specs and contracts to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop schedules and manage drawings, change orders and material requests.
• Mentor Project Engineers and designers and support field teams.
