Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; MS preferred.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in robotics or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
• Knowledge of GD&T and EMI/EMC concepts.
• Experience with harsh environments and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Hands-on prototyping with 3D printing, CNC, sheet metal.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, development, and testing of robotic platforms.
• Own full product lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
• Lead design reviews, DFMEAs, documentation, and change releases.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers.
• Apply DFM and DFA for efficient production.
• Interface with vendors for sourcing, prototyping, and manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety, reliability, and regulatory principles.
• Perform design verification and mechanical analyses.
• Develop and execute test plans for mechanical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices.
