Job summary

Infrastructure Associates, Inc. is seeking a mechanical HVAC design engineer to oversee design from development through project closeout in diverse settings including healthcare, education, and transportation.

You will design, engineer, and manage HVAC systems for new installations, retrofits, and upgrades, perform energy and load calculations, select equipment, and coordinate with clients and project managers to ensure quality on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred with 4+ years of project experience.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Experience with performing load calculations and duct sizing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products.
• Revit experience is encouraged.
• Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement energy and load calculations.
• Perform flow and pressure calculations.
• Equipment selection and specification.
• System design and layout.
• Field investigations and construction administration.
• Interface with clients, attend meetings and presentations.
• Manage engineering team and mentor junior engineers.
