Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is seeking a Mechanic Supervisor A to oversee the Harrisonburg Mobile Equipment Repair Sub-shop, supervising repairs on state equipment and ensuring staff have the tools and supplies needed to complete tasks.

The role requires four years of mechanic experience, with potential for promotion and a full-time weekday schedule. Compensation starts at no less than $24.10/hour, with pay depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience or training as a mechanic.
• Supervisory experience or potential is preferred.
• Experience with state equipment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assign and supervise repairs on state equipment.
• Equip employees with necessary equipment, tools, and shop supplies to accomplish their duties.
• Order and purchase parts and supplies.
• Compile all parts invoices and repair orders.
• Perform limited administrative functions by supervising Harrisonburg shop personnel and activities.
