Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving.
• 5+ years of mechanic experience.
• CDL is highly preferred.
• Leadership experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare operating reports and reconcile sales records.
• Extensive knowledge of automobile repair and reading manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service functions or scheduled maintenance.
• Manage administrative services related to automobile repairs; cost estimates, maintenance notifications, and repairs.
• Reconcile operating accounts and records including sales with cash and receipts.
• Drafts and maintains operating reports as requested by the division manager.
• Monitors inventory and orders supplies and tools for the shop.
• Schedules and arranges necessary maintenance for the shop.
• Ensure that the shop is neat, clean, and safe.
• Oversee Licenses/Permits with Asset Manager
• Design and Update Equipment and Spray Systems to Specifications
• Prioritize and work on urgent projects.
• Determine vehicle condition by inspections and tests.
• Keep equipment available with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist in fabrication of new equipment/new builds.
• Repair major assemblies and systems across power, electrical, hydraulics, etc.
• Complete machine shop operations and alignments.
• Check vehicle performance with test drives.
• Comply with federal/state vehicle requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct field visits for emergencies or breakdowns.
