Job summary

Kimberly-Clark seeks a dynamic R&D professional to support the Personal Care sector in Neenah, Wisconsin. You will join the Research and Development Baby and Child Care team, driving material qualification and partnering with Product, Process, Manufacturing, and Supply teams to deliver Quality, continuity, and cost-saving initiatives.

The role involves collaboration with internal and external suppliers, development of qualification plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and sustainability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in research or engineering, product/material development, project management roles or other related experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and across functional boundaries to complete projects within required timeframes.
  • Exceptional skills effectively communicating/translating complex technical concepts to others.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting required timelines.
  • Travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Personal Care sector in Neenah, Wisconsin.
  • Serve as a member of the Research and Development Baby and Child Care Business Continuity team, supporting material changes required to support Quality, Supply Continuity, and Cost Savings initiatives.
  • Work with fast moving Personal Care consumable products.
  • Report to a Team Leader and receive directions in the form of specific project and innovation pipeline objectives.
  • Develop and lead material qualification plans in partnership with Product, Process, Manufacturing, and Supply teams.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to understand consumer needs and product performance targets.
  • Collaborate with PC project teams and ensure development/commercialization work for material qualification is effectively progressed.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external material suppliers to execute required changes within project timelines.
  • Ensure all work complies with corporate safety, regulatory, product safety, and sustainability requirements.
  • Work independently to progress project material qualification projects.
  • Interact daily with the R&D community consisting of product, process, and material experts.
  • Provide leadership and decision making from the material perspective to the overall project stakeholders through qualification process.
  • Influence vendors and partner with procurement, supply chain, safety, regulatory, and legal as required by project needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in research or engineering, product/material development, project management roles or other related experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and across functional boundaries to complete projects within required timeframes.
  • Exceptional skills effectively communicating/translating complex technical concepts to others.

  • Travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading product design changes.
  • Experience analyzing material properties and impact on product performance and/or convertibility.
  • Familiarity with Specification & Quality Management Systems.
