Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Supply Planner to own supply continuity for critical buy components, including parts with multi-sourcing, long lead times, and allocation constraints. You will manage manual planning logic where automation falls short and work with procurement to optimize sourcing across suppliers.

The role requires 8+ years in supply planning, a relevant degree, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in supply planning or related roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing complex multi-source sourcing and allocation-constrained parts.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (ION, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills for building and maintaining manual tracking tools.
  • Ability to prioritize under ambiguity and communicate supply risk.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end supply planning for a defined set of critical buy components, including parts with complex sourcing splits across multiple suppliers.
  • Build and maintain manual planning logic (spreadsheets, planning worksheets, or system workarounds) for parts that can't be fully automated in the MRP/ERP system due to split sourcing, allocation rules, or non-standard replenishment logic.
  • Work with procurement to manage multi-source part splits - determining and adjusting sourcing percentages or sequencing across suppliers based on capacity, cost, lead time, and risk.
  • Maintain accurate, current planning parameters (lead times, min/max, safety stock, sourcing splits) in the ERP system to keep planning parameters aligned with real-world supplier behavior.
  • Run and reconcile weekly/daily supply signals (MRP exceptions, action messages) for the assigned commodity set, resolving conflicts where system logic and manual management diverge.
  • Build and present shortage risk reports and part-level supply status to production, planning leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support S&OP supply review with input on constrained or at-risk critical buy parts.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to convert manually-managed parts into system-supported planning logic as processes mature.

Job description

Beehive Industries is dedicated to Powering American Defense by revolutionizing the design, development, and delivery of jet propulsion systems to support the warfighter. Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine's speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.

Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be located at our Centennial, Colorado, Knoxville, Tennessee or Cincinnati, Ohio facility.

About The Role

We're looking for a Supply Planner to own supply continuity for our critical buy component portfolio - the purchased parts with the highest volatility, longest lead times, and greatest risk to production if they're late. This is not a set-it-and-forget-it MRP role. Many of these parts sit outside standard planning logic due to multi-sourcing arrangements, allocation constraints, long-lead procurement, or supplier capacity limits, and require deliberate, hands-on management rather than automated replenishment.

What You'll Do
  • Own end-to-end supply planning for a defined set of critical buy components, including parts with complex sourcing splits across multiple suppliers
  • Build and maintain manual planning logic (spreadsheets, planning worksheets, or system workarounds) for parts that can't be fully automated in the MRP/ERP system due to split sourcing, allocation rules, or non-standard replenishment logic
  • Work with procurement to manage multi-source part splits - determining and adjusting sourcing percentages or sequencing across suppliers based on capacity, cost, lead time, and risk
  • Maintain accurate, current planning parameters (lead times, min/max, safety stock, sourcing splits) in the ERP system to keep planning parameters aligned with real-world supplier behavior
  • Run and reconcile weekly/daily supply signals (MRP exceptions, action messages) for the assigned commodity set, resolving conflicts where system logic and manual management diverge
  • Build and present shortage risk reports and part-level supply status to production, planning leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support S&OP supply review with input on constrained or at-risk critical buy parts
  • Continuously identify opportunities to convert manually-managed parts into system-supported planning logic as processes mature
Why Join Us

As a manufacturing startup, every production decision has an outsized impact on customer success and company growth. The lead material planner for critical buy parts will play a critical role in building scalable planning processes, establishing operational discipline, and enabling the organization to successfully transition from prototype builds to repeatable, high-volume manufacturing.

You have...
  • 8+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or buyer/planner roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, non-standard sourcing situations - multi-sourcing, split percentages, allocation-constrained parts
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., ION, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar); comfort operating both inside and outside standard system logic
  • Strong Excel skills for building and maintaining manual tracking tools when systems can't fully support the need
  • Ability to prioritize under ambiguity - this portfolio will include parts where there is no clean system answer and judgment calls are required
  • Clear, proactive communication style; comfortable escalating supply risk before it becomes a crisis
  • Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment is a plus - you should be comfortable building process where none exists yet
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens eligible for a security clearance.
Nice to have...
  • Experience with hardware or aerospace manufacturing and assembly.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or APICS/CPIM certification.
  • Understanding of ISO/AS9100 quality standards.
  • Understanding of MRP principles, lead time management, safety stock calculation, supply chain KPIs and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering change orders
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications
