Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, seeks a 1st Shift Material Handling Supervisor at its Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS. You will supervise staff and oversee movements of materials using conveyors, cranes, hoists, and industrial trucks.

This hourly role runs 1st Shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional overtime. You will monitor equipment, ensure inventory accuracy, and coordinate with department leaders to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising a team in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to write reports and routine correspondence.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise incoming and outgoing material movement and related records.
• Monitor equipment for defects and coordinate maintenance if needed.
• Oversee staff in loading/unloading using conveyors, cranes, or forklifts.
• Collaborate with department leaders to meet deadlines and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and proper PPE is used.
