Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our manufacturing operations. You will load, unload, store, and move materials using motorized equipment, update inventory in the system, and generate barcodes for tracking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 7?10 years of relevant experience required.
• Prior warehouse experience required.
• Must be certified to operate stock-picker, reach-truck and propane forklifts.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and read instructions.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials and goods from ingoing and outgoing trucks.
• Moves, stores, and spaces materials using appropriate equipment.
• Uses computer/RF equipment to update inventory and print barcodes.
• Assists in training new staff and current staff in new procedures.
• Leads other material handlers to meet daily production goals.
• Acts as a backup to supervisor/manager as needed.
• Suggests process improvements to reduce time, errors, and safety incidents.
• Attends management trainings and meetings to improve processes.
• Maintains a clean, 5S compliant work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
