Job summary

Auto Plus in Raleigh, NC seeks a Master Technician with 5+ years of automotive diagnostic experience to lead and mentor a shop team. You will diagnose drivability, A/C, electrical systems, explain repairs to customers, and drive service quality.

Requires 8 ASE certifications preferred, Section 609, state inspection license if applicable, valid driver’s license, and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Continuously learn through formal training to keep up with automotive tech.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
