Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Technician in Minneapolis, MN to guide a team of technicians and operators, ensuring safety, quality, and efficient production. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and drive process improvements on the shop floor.

The role requires strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean methods, and hands-on equipment troubleshooting. On-site work environment with a focus on TPM and standard work to ensure consistent output.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and tools, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in rapid problem solving to find the source of process/product variation and escapes from the cell.
  • Strong utilization and development of standard work to assure consistent product and process flow throughout the cell.

Job description

As a Lead Manufacturing Technician here at Honeywell, you will lead a team, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth engineering processes. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Manager, and you'll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-Site work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and assist a team of manufacturing technicians and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.

YOU MUST HAVE

WE VALUE
  • Optical glass machining polish experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Mechanical measurement aptitude (GD&T), ability to read engineering drawings
  • Substrate glass optical contact/polish experience
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role or a support technician role
  • Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology
