Job summary

Petersen Industries LLC, based in Lake Wales, FL, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in manufacturing maintenance with supervisory experience and strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 1–3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Schedule and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Monitor maintenance work orders, prioritize repairs, and manage maintenance schedules.
• Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance employees to improve performance and technical skills.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational objectives.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of maintenance supplies.
• Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs.
• Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Develop and maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and TPM programs.
• Participate in budget preparation and control maintenance-related expenses.
• Implement and manage CMMS
• Oversee weekly Tool Box Talks and support safety audits
