Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Harker Heights, TX, is seeking a day shift, full-time Breast Care Center Lead Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. The role focuses on clinical leadership, high-quality patient care, and coordinating mammography services.

You will oversee daily operations, perform diagnostic procedures, ensure regulatory compliance, and educate staff while maintaining excellent patient communication and service standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
• 2+ years of experience as a mammography technologist.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a GMRT.
• Registered radiologic technologist by ARRT in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily clinical and administrative operations of the mammography department.
• Explain Mammography procedures to the patient and/or family member clearly.
• Perform Mammography procedures with appropriate imaging parameters.
• Educate new and existing clinical team members as needed.
• Manage clinical team daily, ensuring policy compliance.
• Perform quality control on equipment and report hazards.
• Maintain documentation for quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with physicians’ offices and radiologists; respond within 24 hours.
• Maintain open communication with radiologist to improve imaging quality.
• Order supplies and maintain department paperwork.
