Job summary

Premier Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in the Greater Nashville region, seeks a Lead Mammography Technologist to mentor staff, conduct onboarding and ongoing education across multiple imaging sites.

You will perform high‑quality diagnostic and callback mammography, collaborate with radiologists, ensure protocol adherence and top‑notch patient care, and oversee QA across sites while maintaining MQSA and ACR accreditation commitments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of a recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.)
  • State certification as Medical Radiological Technologist (M.R.T.)
  • Mammography certification and current CPR and AED certification
  • Two years of experience in general diagnostic radiology (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor mammography technologists through onboarding, cross‑training, competency validation, and ongoing clinical education across multiple imaging sites
  • Perform high‑quality diagnostic and callback mammography exams, collaborating directly with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging, protocol adherence, and exceptional patient care
  • Oversee modality quality assurance and quality control programs, including technical image reviews, performance improvement initiatives, and technologist feedback
  • Support and maintain MQSA, American College of Radiology accreditation, equipment quality control, protocol development, and regulatory compliance across all mammography locations
  • Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for mammography operations by troubleshooting equipment and workflow issues, optimizing imaging protocols, and ensuring compliance with RIS/PACS documentation and radiation safety standards
