Job summary

Eenhoorn’s The Reserve at Alamo Ranch in San Antonio, TX seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee building upkeep, respond to service requests, and manage a small maintenance team on site.

You will perform preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and more, while upholding safety policies and delivering exceptional resident service.

Qualifications

• HVAC/EPA Certification
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall repairs, and pool/spa maintenance
• High school diploma or vocational training or equivalent work experience
• Experience operating hand and power tools and riding equipment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with paid on-call hours

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, service requests, snow removal, grounds keeping, capital improvements, and turnover maintenance as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory and supplies; manage maintenance shop cleanliness
• Respond to service requests with urgency; report progress to Property Manager
• Oversee inventory and ensure quality of work before move-in/move-out
• Diagnose and perform maintenance tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, doors/locks, and fencing
• Uphold company safety and environmental policies and procedures
• Walk units pre- and post- turnover to assess work quality and remaining needs
• Provide high levels of resident satisfaction through professional interactions
• Provide daily updates to Property Manager and support 24/7 coverage on a rotating on-call schedule

As a Lead Maintenance Technicianfor The Reserve at Alamo Ranch, located in San Antonio, TX, you will have the opportunity to positively impact our community and all residents, guests, and owners by providing a safe, well-maintained and visibly appealing property. This position is responsible for ensuring the property, grounds and equipment are safe and orderly. A successful Maintenance Technician will be self-motivated, provide outstanding customer service, and will take immense pride in their work. What you’ll be doing:

• Performs various building and property maintenance tasks fulfilling preventative maintenance, service requests, snow removal, grounds keeping, capital improvements, and turn-over maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and supply stocks.
• Work with a sense of urgency to ensure all service requests are responded to in a timely manner; reports start, progress & completion of each task.
• Responsible for inventory management and overseeing the cleanliness and orderly manner of the maintenance shop.
• Diagnosing and performing maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, siding, doors/locks, glass/screen repairs, flooring, tile work, fencing.
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Walking units prior to move-in to ensure quality standards of completed work; as well as, walking units after move-out to understand work needed.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
• Reports updates and progress for the property to the Property Manager daily.
• Working a rotating on call schedule to have 24/7 maintenance coverage.

Must have experiences:

• HVAC/EPA Certification
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Previous plumbing, electrical, appliance, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry and pool/spa maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or related Vocational Training and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience operating equipment & tools of the trade including but not limited to hand tools, power tools and riding equipment.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule with paid on call hours.

Nice to have experiences:

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Previous hotel, commercial and/or apartment maintenance experience
