Job summary

Bonduelle Americas is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Irwindale, CA to maintain and improve equipment reliability across production and facility systems. You will lead advanced troubleshooting, mentor junior mechanics, and support continuous improvement with strong electrical/mechanical expertise.

The role requires interpreting PLC logic, reading schematics, and owning downtime reduction while adhering to safety, GMP, and CMMS records. Starting pay is $39.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or food processing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently and lead maintenance activities.
• Experience with CMMS systems preferred.
• Ability to work in cold, wet environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production and facility equipment.
• Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and rapid response to downtime.
• Execute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions.
• Read electrical schematics and PLC diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Support PLC-controlled systems and basic IO/logic testing.
• Collaborate with production to improve equipment uptime and changeover performance.
• Assist installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure safety, GMP, and company standards compliance.
• Maintain accurate CMMS documentation of work orders and parts usage.
