Prometheus Real Estate Group in Mountain View, California, is seeking a Lead Neighbor Service Technician to maintain apartments and ensure a high-quality living environment for neighbors.

You will lead maintenance tasks, mentor the team, manage turnovers, and coordinate with vendors while upholding safety and strong customer service. This role requires on-call availability, 3–4 years in apartment maintenance, GED, and experience with Yardi and work-order systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required, and you must have minimum three certificates from related maintenance courses.
• Availability for on-call services and weekends is required.
• Minimum 3–4 years of apartment maintenance experience with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Must communicate in English; basic computer skills and familiarity with building materials and tools.

YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT

The Lead Neighbor Service Technician is responsible for all general apartment maintenancein order to maintain and preserve the Neighborhood and to provide a quality living environment for our Neighbors.

• Customer Service – First and foremost, it's your job to make sure our Neighbors feel at HOME, ridiculously well-cared for and genuinely proud to live in our Neighborhoods. Show them tomorrow matters.
• Daily Operations – Every detail counts. As a Lead Neighborhood Service Tech, you are responsible for the timely completion of all phases of apartment turnovers and troubleshooting/repairs of most major and all minor mechanical systems. You will also help with scheduling outside vendors, tracking budgets and financials, and perform administrative support duties for all maintenance related activities.
• Leadership – As a lead, you enjoy mentoring others, providing guidance and leadership to your team. Additionally, you will help the Neighborhood achieve their financial goals through managing costs and being resourceful. You lead by example, setting the standard for the team.

HERE'S MORE OF THE NITTY-GRITTY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Education - A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required, and you must have minimum three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses, such as: BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs.
• Availability - You must be available for on-call services and weekends.
• Industry Experience - Minimum of three to four years experience and/or training in apartment maintenance. You have mastered the basics of plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs. You are a safety guru and have knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Leadership - Minimum of one year supervisory experience, two or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Communication Skills - Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace including, but not limited to, English in order to maintain safety in the workplace and serve internal and external customers.
• Technical Skills -Must possess basic computer proficiency and understanding of building materials and tools. Must be able to use Yardi and manage work orders through technical systems.
• Physical Demands - Requires standing, climbing, balancing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity. Some work tasks are performed outdoors. Temperature is moderate. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $38.00 to $39.25 per hour
• Discretionary Semi-Annual Bonus Plan
