Job summary

GPI Investment in Killeen, TX is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise the apartment community, oversee maintenance operations, and mentor the maintenance team to deliver safe, well-maintained living spaces.

The role requires 3–5 years of property maintenance experience, strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, and a valid driver’s license. HVAC certification is preferred. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of apartment or building maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification preferred (EPA Type I/II or Universal).
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the maintenance team in daily operations.
• Complete work orders efficiently across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment and units.
• Keep grounds and common areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repairs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company policies.
