The Tipton Group is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance at our Plano and Arlington apartment communities. In this hands-on role, you’ll troubleshoot repairs and ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents and staff.

You will manage service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with the Community Manager. HVAC certification and 3–4 years of maintenance experience are required, along with a

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–4 years of maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Must provide and use your own basic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional and courteous communication with residents and coworkers.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the community. Responsibilities include:

• Complete and assist with resident service requests and maintenance needs
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance
• Help ensure apartments are properly maintained and ready for residents
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
• Assist with grounds upkeep, including trash pickup and light landscaping
• Identify maintenance concerns and help ensure repairs are completed efficiently
• Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning community
• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
• Work closely with the Community Manager and maintenance team to support property needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3–4 years of maintenance experience
• HVAC certification required
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to perform general apartment maintenance and repairs
• Must provide and use your own basic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance needs efficiently
• Professional and courteous communication with residents and coworkers
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist where needed
