Job summary

Parker Oil Propane is hiring for a full-time propane delivery position at our Corporate Office in South Hill, VA. The role involves operating a propane delivery truck, delivering to residential and commercial locations, while meeting safety PPE requirements and company standards.

Candidates must hold a Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license and obtain a Class A license with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire. Regular outdoor work in varying weather is expected.

Job Details: Job Location: Corporate Office - SOUTH HILL, VA 23970, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00 Hourly, Qualifications: Certificates & Licenses

• Must hold a valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license.
• Must obtain a Class A driver’s license with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb in and out of the back of a service truck.
• Must be able to sense sound (detect a pressure leak).
• Ability to smell propane odorant.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Ability to wear required PPE: safety glasses, protective gloves, face shield, hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe boots.
• Must be able to work in enclosed spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
• Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to stand constantly, walk frequently, work with hands constantly, and occasionally reach overhead, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, or bend.
• Ability to frequently push up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment

• Regularly works in outside weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.).
• Works in enclosed areas such as crawl spaces and attics at commercial, residential, and agricultural locations.
