Job summary

Conifer Realty LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Ithaca, NY to lead a hands‑on team responsible for upkeep of affordable housing communities. You will oversee work orders, coordinate preventive maintenance, and respond to on‑call emergencies within a 40‑hour workweek.

The role requires HVAC certification, strong maintenance experience, and the ability to manage budgets and vendors. A high school diploma or GED is expected, with healthcare and retirement benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment or residential maintenance experience, including team supervision.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of inspections, preventive maintenance, and Fair Housing.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and safety compliance.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar systems.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to respond within 30 minutes for on‑call emergencies.
• High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance staff to uphold Conifer’s quality and safety standards.
• Manage work orders, make-ready units, and preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with the Community Manager on budgets, inspections, and resident care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.
• Assist with repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks when needed.
