Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, including preventative maintenance, by diagnosing issues and making repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and codes.
2. Perform the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins, including inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting work.
3. Follow procedures for accessing and managing materials, supplies, and tools, tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors for reordering.
4. Complete documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
5. Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, trash removal, pressure-washing, painting, and general upkeep.
6. Support cost-saving initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts, minimizing waste, and using tools and materials properly.
7. Perform preventative maintenance as required.
8. Willing to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
9. Promote a positive image of the community and management company.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum one year of apartment maintenance experience, technical training preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, AC Certification I & II, EPA Certification.

Additional Requirements

Criminal background check and drug screening required. Must meet company policies regarding criminal history and drug use.
