Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Consumer & Community Banking Mainframe team. You will be a core technical contributor, building, enhancing, and delivering trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment.

You will lead a team of engineers, drive modernisation from mainframe to cloud-native technologies, oversee secure coding practices, and apply AI-assisted engineering to improve quality, delivery speed, and operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools with emphasis on validation, security and quality.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure production code and reviews/debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation and value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability of applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess architecture and applicability.
• Plan and execute modernization initiatives to migrate from Mainframe to cloud-native technologies.
• Deliver business objectives on the current Mainframe platform.
• Lead and motivate a team of software engineers.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional team to execute product roadmaps.
