Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking a senior Lead Mainframe Database Conversion Specialist to support migrating Missouri's SAMII financial, HR, and payroll data to the MOVERS ERP platform.

The role focuses on analyzing DB2 data structures, supporting conversion activities, validating data mappings, and ensuring accurate data migration. You will work with business and technical stakeholders, document procedures in JIRA, and provide ongoing status updates while ensuring data quality and successful ERP

Qualifications

• 7+ years COBOL development experience.
• 7+ years DB2 z/OS experience.
• 7+ years JCL experience.
• 7+ years SQL experience.
• Experience with large-scale legacy modernization initiatives.
• Experience performing data conversion and migration activities.
• Experience supporting ERP modernization projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working directly with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy SAMII DB2 tables and relationships.
• Support mapping of DB2 source data to MOVERS target structures.
• Execute and validate data conversion activities.
• Develop reconciliation procedures and validation reports.
• Investigate data quality issues and conversion anomalies.
• Work with SMEs to resolve conversion-related issues.
• Support QA, System Integration Testing, and UAT.
• Document all work activities within JIRA.
• Provide weekly and monthly status updates.

Position Overview:

Seeking a senior Mainframe Database Conversion Specialist to support migration of the State of Missouri's legacy SAMII financial, HR, and payroll system to the new MOVERS platform. The consultant will analyze legacy DB2 data structures, support conversion activities, validate data mappings, and ensure successful migration of critical financial and payroll information.

Required Experience:

• 7+ years of COBOL development experience

• 7+ years of JCL experience
• 7+ years of SQL experience
