Job summary

The Department of the Navy is seeking a Machinist Supervisor I for work at San Diego, CA and other naval shipyard sites. You will supervise machining operations, use CNC and conventional tools, and ensure parts meet precise tolerances from blueprints and work orders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use CNC and conventional machine tools to repair and manufacture parts from raw stock.
• Determine work procedures, tools, stock, speeds and feeds to meet tolerances.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, or work orders and set up equipment accordingly.
• Establish layouts and verify dimensions to maintain required tolerances.
