Qualifications

• Minimum 7‑10 years of hands‑on machining experience.
• At least 5 years in motor repair or heavy industrial machining.
• Minimum 3‑5 years in supervisory or lead machinist position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all machining operations at the motor repair facility.
• Manage precision machining work on motor components.
• Lead a team of machinists and ensure quality standards.

Skills

Expert-level proficiency in manual lathe operation

Grinding experience for precision bearing journals

Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)

Understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting tool selection

Education

Journeyman machinist certification or equivalent experience

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred

Micrometers

CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
