Job summary

Mann in Gastonia, NC is seeking an operator to set up, operate and maintain pleating system equipment and tooling. You will load media, install media rolls, and prepare splicing units while ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.

You will calibrate equipment, adjust gaps, monitor production, and document QA/PM records to sustain efficient, safe operations in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Basic measurement gauge knowledge (calipers, feeler gauges).
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain pleating system equipment and tooling.
• Load and unload media from skids; install media rolls on unwind stand.
• Prepare splicing unit; change pleater tooling as needed.
• Set up star wheels and folding section; adjust as required.
• Determine back pressure weights/locations; maintain pleat marking system.
• Make adjustments to roller gap and timing; perform media cure validation.
• Interpret and apply drawings, routings and specifications.
• Maintain QA forms, PM logs and other records.
