Mosaic is seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role works alongside the production crew, operating machinery, coordinating workflows, and driving daily output.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing, can setup/changeover equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and train others. The position is full-time, on-site, with emphasis on quality checks and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead Machine Operator - Manufacturing

Precision Profiles and Manufacturing | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on manufacturing professional who is ready to take on a lead role within our production team.

This is a working lead position, not a desk or supervisor-only role. You will spend most of the day working alongside the production team, operating equipment, helping coordinate workflow, troubleshooting issues, and keeping production moving.

Previous management experience is not required. We are interested in experienced machine operators and production employees who have trained others, helped lead a line or shift, or have become the person others rely on when something needs to get done.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside the production team and operate equipment throughout the shift.
• Help coordinate daily production and keep work moving.
• Set up equipment, perform changeovers, and handle basic troubleshooting.
• Step into different production positions as needed.
• Train and support production employees and provide day-to-day direction.
• Perform basic quality checks, measurements, and visual inspections.
• Track production, downtime, scrap, and other basic information.
• Keep work orders and inventory information accurate in our internal system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Identify equipment or production issues and communicate them to management.
• Help identify better ways to organize and improve production processes.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing, machine operation, or mechanical equipment experience.
• Experience with machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
• Someone comfortable helping lead, train, or direct other employees.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Excel.
• Ability to perform basic measurements, math, and quality checks.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift.
• Dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and willing to take ownership.

You do not need to have previously held a Supervisor or Production Lead title. If you are an experienced operator who is ready to take the next step, we would like to hear from you.
