Job summary

Old-Castle Building Envelop in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Machine Operator focused on the shipping line and coordinating with the Production Supervisor.

You’ll set up machines, read work orders, ensure safety gear, and maintain quality while rotating among tasks; weekend availability may be required. This role offers reliability-based raises and bonuses as part of a pay-for-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Safety-first approach in the workplace.

• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure.

• One year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all personnel wear correct safety equipment and maintain safety awareness.
• Set up machinery to drill holes, cutouts, temper or laminate glass panels per work orders and schedules.
• Read labels, sketches, system programs and perform spatial visualization interpretation.
• Complete daily worksheets and forms, measuring hole sizes and placements.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.

The Lead Machine Operator is focused on handling the shipping line personnel as well as the shipping work flowand reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the IGDepartment, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Ensure that all personnel, prior to start of shift, are wearing the correct safety equipment and that safety awareness is maintained.
• Set up a machine to drill holes, cutouts, temper or laminate glass panels according to work orders, fabrication sheets, and schedules.
• Read labels, sketches, system programs and perform spatial visualization interpretation.
• Complete daily work sheets and forms, calculating and measuring for hole size and placement.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.

• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
