Job summary

Grease-Monkey in Battle Creek is seeking a dependable Key Holder to open and close the service center, support daily operations, and deliver efficient, friendly service to customers. You will lead the team during shifts, perform oil changes and checks, maintain safety and cleanliness, and manage deposits when needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring location security, tracking inventory, training new staff, and escalating issues to leadership as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service or retail environment.
• Automotive experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, dependability and integrity.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Must pass background check and be 18+ with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Unlock and secure the location at the beginning and end of shifts.
• In absence of Center Manager, handle daily deposits and safe security.
• Oversee cash security and store safe closure per protocols.
• Lead the team during daily operations and workflow efficiency.
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and minor services.
• Maintain inventory and report needs to Center Manager.
• Uphold health, safety and cleanliness in bays and customer areas.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve basic issues.
• Escalate safety, security or behavior concerns to District Manager when needed.
• Train and mentor new employees; ensure policy compliance.
